The biggest professional beach volleyball event in Kansas City returns October 3
Last fall, Shawnee Mission Beach Volleyball hosted the biggest professional beach volleyball event in Kansas City history — a one-day, high-stakes showdown. The George Brett 4v4 Volleyball Showdown brought together 24 pros from across the USA to form six elite teams — three men’s and three women’s — who competed head-to-head for a cash prize.
This October, Kansas City Royals legend George Brett will team up with AVP Hall of Famer Steve Obradovich and SBMV owner Lance Windholz once more to bring this incredible event back!
Be a part of the excitement and witness the power of the most talented athletes competing in games on the beach. These aren’t your average volleyball games! This is a custom-built, high-octane 4-on–4 format designed for speed, power, and nonstop action to ensure every rally is electric.
But there’s a twist:
One amateur team will rise from the Battle 4 The Bid qualifier tournament to take the court with the pros — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play against the best in the nation! Will you answer the call? Stay tuned for details!

Since 2017, Fore the Kids Foundation has raised more than $9 million to address the growing mental health crisis in our communities. Projects funded have included the Depression and Anxiety in Youth (DAY) Clinic at Children’s Mercy, Camber Mental Wellness Campus in Olathe, research targeted at precision dosing for mental health medication, a classroom on wheels for The Children’s Place and a new Emergency mental health crisis center at Children’s Mercy.
