Join together to celebrate the life and legacy of Lieutenant Michael Wells! Mike was a fourteen year member of THE Lenexa Fire Department, and a devoted husband and father. He was taken from us at the age of 39 by esophageal cancer on September 14th, 2019. Since then, his legacy has continued to inspire many to “Choose The Wrench.”
In the spirit of honoring his legacy, there will be a beach volleyball tournament on September 15, 2024. Entry proceeds will benefit Answering The Call, a charitable foundation dedicated to assisting First Responders and their families during difficult times. ATC was a great help to Mike’s family during his illness, as well as after his passing.
So gather up your friends into teams of six, and get ready to have some fun! Entry fee is $30 per person and will include an event t-shirt. Sign up by Sunday, September 1 to guarantee your shirt size! To keep things fun and competitive, please place your team into one of the following categories: Novice (C), Kind of Athletic (B), and Wannabe Pros (BB/A).
On the day of the event, sign in will begin at 8:30, with play starting promptly at 9:30.
